Thermo King®, a leader in temperature-controlled transportation solutions and a brand of Trane Technologies, announced the introduction of new connectivity features for self-contained sub-frame mount truck refrigeration units. Now, Thermo King UT series units can receive more information in real time thanks to the TK BlueBox communication device and connectivity technology.

The TK BlueBox communication device and Bluetooth® connectivity offer full 24-hour visibility of the unit and load conditions, remote monitoring and proactive control:

Bluetooth allows users who are within the connection coverage area to remotely manage defrosting, pre-trip, reference point and further operating settings.

The unit can also be accessed and managed remotely from anywhere in the world via an Internet connection as part of Thermo King's TracKing™ offering.

The TK BlueBox telematics system can be accessed remotely with the free TK Reefer app from a smartphone or Bluetooth-enabled device. In this way, bidirectional communication is possible that allows the management of the unit in real time and access to fundamental data, in order to ensure that the load is constantly protected.
