Homo Sapiens and Conditioning: Do We Change Fast Enough?

Homo Sapiens and Conditioning: Do We Change Fast Enough?

If there is a difference between homo sapiens and other forms of animal life, it is in the fact that animals, as species, adapt to the environment to survive, while human beings modify the environment to adapt it to their needs. After abandoning natural shelters and fire as sources of conditioning, society governs closed environments (shopping centers, cinemas, supermarkets, but also airports, stations, offices etc.) adapting their internal temperature and excluding the seasons and their impact on our own lives; only when we go out in the open air do we realize, therefore, the season in which we live in.

Increasingly, even domestic housing is adapting to a new model of society: Southern Europe (Greece, Spain, Portugal and, of course, Italy) dizzyingly approaches the life pace (work and not) of Northern European States. Smaller and smaller families, which are formed and melt more and more quickly (like the US model), require property builders to adapt their work with energy solutions that increasingly focus on speed and savings, leaving out the pleasure of a type of heating that gradually decreases accompanying us to sleep.

Why this change if not the principle with which we debuted? We not only want to keep in closed environments a more and more constant temperature both in winter and in summer, but we also want to reach it faster than ever, possibly, with lower consumption and costs. For this reason, the conditioning market of the last 5 years has finally reached what represents a sort of break even point: if already 10 years ago, industrial heating belonged to freon, today even the domestic one, in equal performance, obtains lower and lower consumption and costs. In other words, we live in ever smaller houses, in which we enter and exit ever more rapidly and from which we demand ever more constant temperature... but how do we obtain this?

Upstream, with coadjuvant solutions such as targeted construction solutions; downstream, in fact, abandoning more and more the classic heating and progressively relying more on freon. Pellet stoves, only in the countryside, represent an even cheaper alternative today... but how much will they stand comparison? In cities, some builders today propose new constructions with underfloor heating: ever less "wasteful" coils and ever more efficient solar panels and batteries respond quite well to heating needs but require constructive solutions that are very expensive and with considerable limits. It is no longer surprising, therefore, to see stores that specialize in Daikin, LG or Mitsubishi products for domestic use in the commercial streets of our big cities. Stores which an increasingly large and heterogeneous audience turn to.

Conversely, brands such as Copeland, Bitzer and Italian brands such as Frascold, Dorin and Refcomp still turn little or nothing to the domestic market, remaining, however, always well anchored and sensitive to the needs of the industrial one. But how can they succeed in innovating it? Simple! In fact, building the compressors is not a zero-sum game: if freon's quantities and needs increase in Europe (thanks, above all, to the growing needs of the domestic market), then also the research, which is mechanical (compressor) chemical (freon) and commercial (distribution chain), will. Mechanics now sees the predominance of scrolls in the refrigeration systems: replacing has become faster and cheaper than repairing. Chemistry: we see the market increasingly evolve towards less polluting gases and - above all in Europe - increasingly regulated. Last, but not least, the distribution chain is required to supply in an ever so rapid, precise and widespread manner, retailers, businesses, refrigeration technicians and, in the less covered areas, also the end users.
Precisely in this perspective, that is with a constant view to the changes of society, Linea 3C S.r.l. for over twenty years has been distributing, in Italy and all over the world, the best air conditioning and industrial refrigeration compressors, accompanying businesses, infrastructures and, why not? the whole society, in their growth and evolution.
