The European Union sets itself increasingly ambitious climate and energy objectives, in order to achieve a modern, competitive and climate-neutral economy by 2050.

In this context, Frascold, leading player in the development, production and marketing of semi-hermetic compressors of the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, is at the forefront of the energy transition and supports its customers with a wide range of constantly evolving natural refrigerant solutions. On the occasion of Chillventa 2022, the international event dedicated to refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pumps, Frascold will present its latest innovations in Hall 6, stand 312.

Among the innovations launched at Chillventa 2022, the ATEX Z40-126 high temperature piston compressors, designed for heat pumps in the industrial sector, stand out. An ATEX certified isopentane solution that is able to guarantee maximum safety and sustainability when combined with renewable sources. Among the peculiarities, the 6 cylinders allow to reach a condensation temperature around 160°C and produce pressurized water up to 100/155°C. The compressor can be used in cascade, or by using waste heat to power the entire system, in favor of higher efficiency and circularity of resources.

During the fair, the two series of screw compressors CX ATEX and Magnetic will be presented, which allow a greater volumetric displacement and consequently, a production of a higher thermal capacity.

The CX ATEX, in addition to completing the proposal for industrial installations, are also ideal for district heating. The range is synonymous with reliability, efficiency and silence and is also available in R290 and R600a hydrocarbons. Two different compression ratios and the possibility of expanding the operating range by choosing an oversized electric motor contribute to making the performance excellent. Finally, it is characterized by a step or continuous capacity control, guaranteed by a slide valve, as well as a sophisticated triple action oil separation system, which minimizes dragging.

The new entry Magnetic is the range of screw compressors recommended by Frascold for the comfort segment, cooling processes and heat pump applications. The protagonist of the compressor is the exclusive Interior Permanent Magnet synchronous motor, composed of magnets in the electric rotor that eliminate sliding and guarantee accurate speed monitoring.
Another advantage of the Interior Permanent Magnet is the decrease in absorbed power compared to traditional systems, in favor of higher energy savings. In short, reliability, flexibility and simplicity contribute to the definition of the Magnetic family.
