Frascold, leading player in the development, production and marketing of semi-hermetic compressors serving the refrigeration and air conditioning industry, renews its participation in Euroshop 2023, the largest retail event that every three years involves industry professionals.

The fair will take place in Düsseldorf from February 26 to March 2, and represents a global hotspot for discovering innovative projects and latest technological trends. In this event, Frascold (which will be in Hall 15, stand A39), interprets a commercial and industrial refrigeration that increasingly embraces sustainability, without sacrificing performance.

Frascold is exhibiting its range of solutions for transcritical and subcritical CO2 systems, developed for an efficient cold chain, starting from cold logistics.
The spotlights are on the latest addition to the TK family, the Z-TK. A semi-hermetic piston compressor ideal for distribution and storage centers, supermarkets and grocery stores, capable of reaching a volumetric flow rate of 38 m3/h. The Z-TK is designed to keep leaks to a minimum while ensuring adequate protection and lubrication of all moving parts, for continuous operation. A smooth running, also achieved through a reduction of pulsations, in favor of maximum silence and reliability over time. Thanks to the mechanical capacity control, it is also possible to use the component even in the presence of stringent electromagnetic compatibility requirements.

For a complete offer, aimed at creating sustainable and energy efficient plants, Frascold will also present the new models of the SK3 piston compressor series, for subcritical CO2 installations. Enhanced to offer its customers an even wider operating range, the complete portfolio also includes the brand new S-SK3 models, characterized by volumetric flow rates ranging from 28 to 47 m3/h. The strong point of the solutions is the delivery tap that can be rotated in three directions, which allows for high flexibility in the design and installation of the system.

Both the Z-TK and the S-SK3 stand out for their robust and compact design which allows the low pressure to be correctly managed when the system is shut down, regardless of the climatic conditions. The Z-TK operates with a standstill pressure (PSS) up to 100 bar, while the S-SK3 up to 80 bar. Solutions that guarantee perfect maintenance and a quick restart, without the need to resort to active or passive systems.
With its proven experience and technical knowledge of hydrocarbons, Frascold takes the field to support Retailers with its range of ATEX piston compressors which are certified for use in areas classified as at risk of explosion. The W model will be on display, with a volumetric flow rate of 228 m3/h and a 70 HP motor. The solution stands out for its revolutionary RSH head, i.e. a capacity modulation system patented by Frascold in order to optimize the design of the refrigeration system by blocking the suction of the heads and the use of inverters. An advantageous element both in terms of energy consumption and safety, also thanks to the numerous performance tests carried out directly in the laboratory. Last but not least, its design minimizes the space required for installation, allowing for great flexibility of use.
