Frascold, offers the innovative range of D-TK two-cylinder transcritical CO2 semi-hermetic compressors, available in a version with Capaflex, the exclusive mechanical capacity regulation system created in close cooperation with Hoerbiger.

Designed for high, medium and low temperature applications, D-TK is extremely versatile and suitable for numerous uses: From heat pumps in the industrial and tertiary sectors, to systems for the world of transport. More compact and lighter, when compared with other compressors on the market, it is also optimal for use in small spaces. In addition, it boasts a high PSS (stand still pressure) which allows the system, when the system is stopped, to withstand the pressure generated in high temperature environments, without the need to introduce additional active and passive solutions to contain it. Among the strengths are also the silence, low vibrations and a minimum dragging of oil.

Capaflex contributes to increasing the advantages of choosing the D-TK. It was created specifically for Frascold compressors for transcritical applications. It allows you to modulate the cooling capacity continuously, easily and without having to resort to an inverter.

Optimal indoor comfort, maximum reduction of consumption and installation and maintenance costs: This mechanical alternative, having a very simple electronic component, is easy to manage for professionals who know a traditional CO2 system. Furthermore, the tests conducted in the laboratory show that it is possible to perform load shedding of up to 20%. Efficient and effective, Capaflex extends the life of the compressor, protecting the good health of the system, ensuring correct load and minimizing on-off cycles.

Finally, D-TK with Capaflex can be an optimal choice in various areas, like, for example, the railway, where it can be expensive to find complex electronic components, such as inverters compatible with the regulatory requirements of this sector. The use of CO2 is spreading into new areas, in addition to commercial refrigeration, by virtue of the considerable advantages of this long-term non-flammable, non-toxic gas that does not require special certifications.
