Thermo King®, a leader in transportation temperature control solutions and a brand of Trane Technologies, today announced that Fraikin Group expanded its rental fleet with MAN eTGE electric vans refrigerated by Thermo King E-200 units. Fraikin, a leading European company in commercial vehicle rental and transport solutions with the largest fleet of multi-brand and multifunctional vehicles, is the first in Belgium to use the MAN e-TGE electric van refrigerated by Thermo King.

In response to growing demand, Fraikin wanted to give its customers the opportunity to experience zero-emission electric refrigerated transport and test how the latest innovations can improve their daily operations. To collaborate on the project and find the most suitable refrigeration solution for the MAN e-TGE electric van, Fraikin contacted Thermo King and Gradius, the authorized Thermo King dealer with offices in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Fraikin's MAN e-TGE electric van was equipped with a Thermo King E-200 refrigeration unit. Being inverter driven, unlike typical direct drive solutions designed for diesel combustion engines, the E-200 offers constant capacity and can operate smoothly with electrically powered vehicles. The unit is equipped with patented power management, which helps reduce energy consumption and increase vehicle range, efficiency and reliability. To ensure the holding capacity and the ability to deliver fresh and frozen products 8 hours a day, the van was equipped with an additional 11 kW battery pack.
