Emerson introduces the new generation of Copeland™ ZX outdoor refrigeration units designed for A2L refrigerants. Thanks to its new concept, the series is fully optimized for A2L refrigerants and offers further advantages in terms of efficiency, reliability and safety to distributors, installers and operators. The new range also includes models equipped with continuous digital modulation of capacity and is ideal for use in the commercial refrigeration sector.

In view of the 80% reduction of HFCs by 2030, manufacturers must evaluate alternative solutions for the design of plants in line with future directives. The main elements to take into consideration in choosing the most suitable refrigerant and the most suitable system architecture are the costs related to the life cycle and the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.

With this new range, Emerson offers a low-GWP solution for space and noise constrained refrigeration applications. Using the new Copeland™ Scroll compressors optimized for A2L refrigerants allows to reduce energy consumption as well as saving on operating costs. The new series of refrigeration units is approved for use with multiple low global warming potential A2L refrigerants such as R454A, R454C, R455A and R1234yf, thus offering great flexibility and simplifying logistics, since a single model adapts to numerous applications.

Modified hermetic design, innovative control logic and high quality components ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for applications using A2L refrigerants. The presence of an advanced electronic controller allows you to manage the parameters precisely, as well as view the status of the system. The electronic protection functions, the oil separator and the suction accumulator guarantee optimal system safety.
