With its 30 years of experience in CO2 compression technology, Dorin is presenting the innovative range of BOXÉR CO2 compressors, designed to meet the specific needs of those systems where saving space is essential.

With a height of 235 mm, this new platform is perfectly suited to mobile HVAC applications, such as those of electric trains and buses.

Presented for the first time at Busworld Europe in 2019, after a period of testing in the Dorin laboratories, the product has now been perfected, reaching the highest levels of efficiency and reliability.

Compared to compressors with "V" cylinders, the BOXÉR models have been made with a height up to 42% lower, offering an easier and less binding solution for installations positioned on the roof of the vehicle, where the compressors must be as compact as possible.

The exclusive symmetry of the BOXÉR design guarantees very low vibrations and provides extremely smooth and silent operation of the compressor. This obviously represents a great advantage in applications where passenger acoustic comfort is a priority.

In addition, the perfect balance leads to a lower load on the shaft, thus ensuring very high COP levels and less wear of the gear in the long term: This translates into lower management and maintenance costs for the end user.

Also, in the BOXÉR configuration the cylinders are easier to cool, as they are more spaced from each other: This is a fundamental feature in CO2 applications, especially when it comes to heat recovery and heat pump operation; with a minimum evaporation temperature of -30°C, thanks to its unique design, characterized by an external exhaust manifold, the BOXÉR range makes it possible to reliably provide comfortable heating inside buses or railway wagons, even with very low environmental temperatures.

The compressors of the CO2 BOXÉR range are equipped with a 4-pole electric motor and in the near future, with 2 poles, and this will allow a higher moved volume, with a very advantageous and attractive cost / performance ratio.

The entire CO2 BOXÉR range is available with Semi-hermetic compressor models (with a significant reduction in maintenance and end-user costs, and longevity of performance, unattainable with hermetic models), made of cast iron and soon in aluminum (now in validation).
