“We are pleased to see that AICARR's appeals to institutions to invest in air exchange technologies in schools, with the installation of mechanical ventilation systems, begin to bear fruit. A few weeks ago the Marche region approved a proposal in this direction", said Filippo Busato, president of AICARR, the Italian Association for air conditioning, heating and refrigeration.

Busato specified that "for now it is the initiative of a single region, we hope that other regions will soon follow this virtuous example".

The Marche region in fact through the proposal - "Measures to improve air quality in school classrooms through the installation of systems for controlled mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, aimed at safely carrying out educational activities following the emergency Covid-19 healthcare system” - allocated 2 million euros for the installation of these systems in the classrooms intended for continuous teaching in favor of the town and provinces of the region.

In recent months, AICARR has always sustained that the supply of external air through mechanical ventilation improves the quality of the internal environment, with positive effects on the hygiene conditions and health of students and school staff. The safety protocols that use air exchange through forced ventilation are absolutely more effective (and energy efficient) than those that only use air exchange by "opening windows".
