As part of the 2020 celebrations of the World Refrigeration Day, the organizing secretariat of the day (WRD), ASHRAE, the European Energy and Environment Partnership (EPEE), the International Refrigeration Institute (IIR), the 'UNEP OzonAction and in collaboration with the Global Food Cold Chain Council (GFCCC), are organizing a joint campaign to address the importance of the cold chain sector and its vital role for food safety and health. 

The joint campaign is called: "COLD CHAIN ​​4 LIFE"

One of the key events in this campaign is an international webinar that aims to draw the attention of the public, policy makers and end users to technology, food waste and loss, health, the environment and energy considerations associated with the cold chain sectors and to support best practices in relation to the decision-making process of technology selection, for the minimization of food waste and losses in the supply chain, to stimulate a wise selection of technology, to minimize the losses of refrigerants and optimize energy efficiency.

The webinar will be held on June 26th at 15:00 (CET time)
