CAREL closes the year with further recognition of its path towards excellence, also in performance linked to sustainability, obtaining a “B-” score from CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) which is the global non-profit organization that monitors company performance in the fight against climate change.2022 was marked for CAREL by the achievement of important objectives in the field of sustainability: After having improved the score in the ESG rating assigned by MSCI, obtaining "AA" and having received the silver medal from ECOVADIS, the Group sees the own efforts in the fight against climate change also by CDP, passing from the score "C" to "B-" and entering Management category, which is the group of companies that work to manage their impact on environment. The CEO of the CAREL Group, Francesco Nalini, and the member of the Board of Directors with responsibility for ESG, Carlotta Rossi Luciani, jointly commented: “The Group's excellent performance in terms of ESG is enriched by a new element with the improvement of the score in the CDP rating . The constant recognition of the efforts made and the resources deployed in recent years to improve our ESG profile makes all the men and women who work at CAREL particularly proud and is a strong incentive to do even better by aiming for excellence.”With innovation aimed at energy efficiency being one of its distinctive features, CAREL is currently engaged in defining its total carbon footprint (also including "Scope 3" emissions) in order to reach carbon neutrality as a mid-long term plan.
