Let's start by talking about history: what distinguishes Frascold and what contributes to its identity?

We are a company with 80 years of history and from the beginning we cover the whole cold chain (including shipping), we have more than 200 employees, business units in China, India, America, Russia, Australia and others will be born soon.
Our core value is PROUD (Passion, Responsibility, Outstanding, Uniqueness, Dependable) which encloses the soul of our company, a soul made of passion in work, responsibility in reaching our customers' goals at best, uniqueness and excellence in creating customized services and products and reliability in keeping our commitment constant.

Frascold is the only company to produce only in Italy: what does this element concretely add to your production chain?

In addition to producing in Italy we also have a foundry of italian ownership. All the technical expertise is concentrated in Italy and is transferred to our products daily. The quality of our Made in Italy is perceived even in China, a booming market for us, which represents a considerable part of our revenue, even allowing us to greatly counteract the competition that produces directly on site.

Blue is better ... is it just a slogan?

Absolutely not. Blue is better represents the Leitmotiv of our approach to things because we always try to do them at best. That is why we’ve invested in a fully automated production, we have been collaborating with prestigious engineering universities for years and we provide custom built solutions based on all our customers’ specific needs.

What distinguishes your production range from the competition’s?

Having a fully automated production and our own foundry are certainly two aspects that allow us to have control on all our products in every detail. Another distinctive value is certainly the vast range of products ranging from the 0.5 hp piston compressors to the 320 hp screw compressors with dedicated series for every natural refrigerant like Ammonia, HC, CO2.
Speaking of our productive excellence in concrete terms, our production process and functional testing controls are fundamental because they guarantee, in addition to extreme silence, also high reliability and performance control, as the case of our CO2 series, appreciated for its quietness and its proven very low oil drag.
In the absolute belief of doing things at best, for years we have equipped our products with a diagnostic system which allows the customer a constant monitoring of the compressor and the RSH, a system with capacity control solutions that allows to keep a constant efficiency level.
An additional guarantee for our customers are our 112 Asercom certified compressors and our whole series of ATEX and UL certified piston and screw compressors.

How can a software like the FSS really make a difference in a world made of engines?

Our FSS3 (Frascold Simulation Software) was born from our customer-oriented vision, a selection and simulation software which provides our customers with the best solution for their needs.
In the case of CO2 it is also possible to simulate all transcritical booster system configurations of a multifunction control unit: from parallel compression, to heat recovery up to conditioning.
For each of these configurations it is possible to calculate the seasonal efficiency in different regions of the world.
