AiCARR, which has been active for some time both in terms of legislation and applied research for the safe and efficient use of flammable refrigerants, organizes on December 18, with the patronage of IIR, a webinar entitled "The use of flammable refrigerants in the national and community context".
The theme arises from the observation that the limitations on greenhouse gas emissions provided by the recent international regulations are imposing increasingly stringent restrictions on the use of traditional HFCs. The reduction of the direct greenhouse effect of refrigerants, in fact, mainly passes through the reduction of their atmospheric life and this aspect in the vast majority of cases involves the flammability of refrigerants, whether natural or synthetic.
An intense research activity is therefore underway both to identify new refrigerants and to outline appropriate safety measures to limit the risk resulting from flammability without penalizing the energy efficiency of the machines. The foreseeable large-scale use of flammable refrigerants is therefore requiring a considerable effort at the regulatory, research and design level for the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
In this webinar, the most recent innovations of international research on new flammable refrigerants (both A2L, A2 and A3) will be presented by the Technical Refrigeration Committee of AiCARR. The progress of the work of the Technical Safety and Fire Prevention Committee which has been collaborating with the Fire Brigade for some time for the implementation and harmonization of regulations on the use of flammable refrigerants will then be illustrated. Finally, considerations will be presented on the impact that the use of flammable refrigerants has on the design of air conditioning systems.
After the welcome greetings and the introduction to the works by Filippo Busato, AiCARR President, Didier Coulomb, IIR / IIF Director, and Massimiliano Pierini, Managing Director of Reed Exhibitions Italia, the event will see the interventions of: Claudio Zilio (webinar moderator) and Giulia Righetti, Department of Technique and Management of Industrial Systems, University of Padua; Michele Mazzaro, Senior Manager of the Fire Prevention and Industrial Risk Office; Remo Giulio Vaudano, Member of the National Council of Engineers. A Round Table will conclude the work.
To participate in the event, you must register by December 16 through the AiCARR website here.
